Alison Christine Asher

Hi Everyone!
For those of you I have yet to meet, my name is Alison and I currently work at Google as a Recruiter. I am originally from Chicago but am now enjoying “winters” in California. My parents are both retired and still reside in Chicago though you will rarely find them home as they love to travel. I was fortunate to meet Josh our freshman year at Vanderbilt where I studied Human & Organizational Development. I am proud to say that I never missed a home soccer game since we starting dating and was his biggest fan throughout his college career. It has been a gift to have the opportunity to grow with him throughout the years and watch him evolve into the man he is today. Josh and I currently live in Russian Hill in San Francisco with our sweet puppy Lula and are very much looking forward to spending time with you in the Wine Country!

As an only child, my close friends have become my family. I am very excited for those of you who have not met them, to finally meet these extraordinary women.

Bridesmaids:

Amanda Jean O’Donovan
Amanda and are childhood friends from Sherwood Forest, MD where we spent summers together. CJ, she and I use to say that we were three soul mates. Amanda is as a superstar sales representative at Astra-Zeneca Pharmaceuticals. She and her husband and high school sweetheart, Jerry, have had a new addition to the family – their beautiful baby girl, and my favorite niece, Regaen Melissa O’Donovan.

Caroline “CJ” Jackson Hook
I have been friends with CJ since the very first summer I spent in Sherwood. She always can make me smile and I can’t remember a time that we weren’t laughing. CJ is a talented PR publicist for Bonnie Heneson Communication, a boutique firm in MD. She and her husband Mitch are approaching the anniversary of their first year in their new home in Towsend, MD and also are anticipating enjoying parenthood in April. Please find the happy family while in Sonoma to congratulate them on the baby’s first plane ride – cross country!

Kathryn “Kate” Ann Roy
Katie and I first met in high school and played on our school’s basketball team. Katie is a true blue friend and has a heart of gold. Throughout high school, we were attached at the hip and people would confuse us over the phone. Please make sure to congratulate her as she will be graduating from law school at Loyola University in Chicago! Katie – we are so proud of you!

Lara Asher Russo
Lara is my babygirl cousin who I have been lucky enough to witness grow into a gorgeous and brilliant woman (I taught her everything she knows ;) ) We shared a 9 x 10 room several summers in Sherwood when she was 9 and I was 16. Now she is almost 20 and has found herself in a similar situation with new roommates at UVA! We’re hoping to get her out here for a summer internship in Finance at Google. Cross your fingers!

Lindsey Caroline Price
I first admired Lindsey from afar. On the crowded dance floor at local frat, BETA, our very own Diva stole the show with her vivacious dance moves. We traded notes, led Charlie to win a lip synching contest our Sophomore year and have been the best of friends ever since. Lindsey and I lived together for 3 years in college and were fortunate to spend my last year in NY sharing a studio downtown. Lindsey currently works for Goldman Sachs University and lives in NY with her true love, Tony Mesones.

Megaen Elizabeth Kirkman White
Megaen and I met on her first visit to Vandy our Sophomore year and after strict instructions from her older brothers, we got into as much trouble as possible. Megaen graduated from USC two years ago where she was a wonderwoman pole vaultler and is currently living in San Francisco working as an Account Assistant for an advertising agency downtown. I’ve watched Megaen grow-up and am so happy to be gaining a new sister.

Joshua Slocum Parker White

For those of you don’t know me, allow me to give you a quick background.  My parents are both from Michigan but met in Puerto Rico.  My father was a dentist for the US Coast Guard which afforded my family to live in a number of unique places including an Apache Indian Reservation, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the Presidio in San Francisco.  I have a younger sister Megaen and a twin brother, Charlie, both of whom will be in our wedding.  I work at Citadel, a Chicago-based hedge fund, and still enjoy playing soccer when I can, traveling whenever we have time and napping with our puppy.  Its hard to believe that you would meet the person you’ll spend the rest of your life with when you are 19 years old.  I feel so fortunate to have found Alison so early and feel so lucky every time I get to come home to her.  I look forward to meeting you in June.

Charles Olin White III
Charlie is my best man and twin brother.  My best friend growing up we’ve had a lot of adventures and fun times. Today, Charlie is a flash designer at Disney.  He lives in Pasadena, CA with his black pug Max.  He played soccer at Vanderbilt and lived in Florence, Italy with Alison and me.  He’s known Alison since we first met back in Nashville. 

Zachary Toran
Zach is my best friend from highschool.  Always funny and having a good time, Zach made my highschool days full of laughs.  We played club and highschool soccer together as well, often carpooling long hours together.  Zach currently lives in San Francisco (his described “best city in the world”) and is in his last year of law school at USF.

Daniel Rick Sable
Danny is my best friend from college and played soccer with me there.  We’ve had a lot of fun times together all over the country and the world.  Danny currently lives in LA and practices law at SeyFarth after graduating from Loyola-Marymount law school.

Ares Papageorge
Ares and I have known each other since we were 14 and have had a lot of fun together over the years.  Today he owns and manages the Royal Oak which is just five blocks from where Alison and I live.  Both Alison and I both worked at “The Oak” one summer in college.   Its been great to reconnect with Ares after moving back to San Francisco.  Ares graduated with honors from UC Berkeley. 

Daniel Link
Dan was my roommate and best friend in New York when we both moved from Vanderbilt to work at Lehman Brothers.  Dan worked on the equities derivatives desk while I was doing investment banking.  We had a lot of good times living in Midtown and getting our taste of the Wall Street lifestyle.  Dan is still doing great at Lehman, getting promoted to Vice President this year.

James “Jay” Robert Russo
Jay is Alison’s cousin and her pseudo-brother growing up each summer in Sherwood.  We’ve had fun wakeboarding and snowboarding together.  He’s a big Bob Marley fan and is finishing his senior year of high school in Maryland.
